This handsome pied-à-terre is located in Houston’s Astoria high rise. The stylish space hosts 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a burgeoning art collection. The perfect spot for our client when he is in Houston for business, the condo is more than an elevated bachelor pad. With romantic, curved touches, this high-rise is wonderful for the entire family to enjoy.
With 3 girls, blending heirloom-quality pieces with practical luxury was crucial to our design. We selected many vintage items from 1st Dibs, like the soft, ivory-colored chairs in the living room. A special totem artwork from Karen Hawkins balances antique with new in dynamic slices of textbooks. And this isn’t the only piece to surrender itself to older themes. The dining room features another antique in the chandelier, while a Roy Lichtenstein original stands guard.
The master bedroom is the culmination of these contrasts. With a moody backdrop of plum and aubergine, velvet textures and sloping curves marry masculine and feminine with ease.
